Scholarships for International Students

For Master students
 
Exemption from tuition and miscellaneous fees, excluding dormitory fees, insurance premiums (e.g. National Health Insurance/medical insurance and student group insurance), computer and internet fees.
 
Requirement: you can have your tuition fees and miscellaneous fees waived for 2 years at maximum if your GPA is at least 3.38 in each semester. 
 
  • Tick “Apply for Scholarship” in the online degree application system
  • the degree program
  • One time application, up to 3 academic years

NSYSU international scholarship

 
For Doctoral students
  1. Exemption from tuition fees, miscellaneous fees and dormitory fees, excluding insurance premiums (e.g. National Health Insurance/medical insurance and student group insurance), computer and internet fees.
  2. Exemption from the tuition fees, muscellaneous fees, excluding dormitory fees, insurance premiums (e.g. National Health Insurance/medical insurance and student group insurance), computer and internet fees.
Requirement: if your supervisor concludes on the Academic Advisor Consent Form that you are eligible to continue to receive the NSYSU scholarship. 
 
Note: you may also apply for Elite Doctoral scholarship at the same time.
 

NSYSU

Elite Doctoral Student Scholarship

Office of  Academic Affairs (OAA)

 NT$15,000/month

 

Requirement: You may apply for NSYSU Elite Scholarship if your GPA is at least 3.5 in each semester.


Note: we only start to review the application in the beginning of a new semester and issue the scholarship around 2 months afterwards. In other words, there will be a gap between your application and the issuance. Get prepared to support your study and life during this window period.

Submit the required documents in the semester:

1. Application form (1 copy)

2. Research plan (1 copy)

3. Supporting documents (published papers, awards, extracurricular activities, etc.) that may aid the review process (not mandatory)

 

Taiwan Scholarship

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA)

 

  1. NT$30,000/month
  2. Tuition is charged as same as Taiwanese students
